Tjaša Šulc Dejanović is a repeatedly awarded and internationally recognized pianist from Maribor, Slovenia. She completed her studies and postgraduate studies at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb in Croatia in the class of prof. Ksenija Kos. After that she studied in Italy at the Accademia Musicale Santa Cecilia in Bergamo with prof. Konstantin Bogino and collaborated with other famous professors and pianists such as Eugen Indjic, Noel do Carmo Flores, Jasminka Stančul, Karl Heinz Kämmerling, Sijavuš Gadžijev, Vasily Lobanov, Anatoly Katz and others. She was awarded the highest award of the University of Zagreb - the Rector's Award for the performance of Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, which she performed with Maestro Pavle Dešpalj and the Zagreb Philharmonic. Tjaša Šulc Dejanović is the winner of the Concorso Internationale di Musica Citta di Stressa , 27 th Music competition TEMSIG Slovenia, Concorso Musicale Citta di Moncalieri; second prize winner of the 2 nd Concours International de Piano Nikolai Rubinstein Paris, Concorso di Interpretazione Musicale Genoa , and third prize winner of the International Competition Citta di Pietra Ligure, 24th Music competition TEMSIG Slovenia, Citta di Stressa, and 2 nd Competition Zlatko Grgošević Croatia. She regularly performs solo concerts, in chamber ensembles and orchestras in Slovenia and abroad - China, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has played with various orchestras as a soloist or as part of an orchestra such as the Zagreb Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theater Maribor, Maribor Chamber Orchestra, Festival Chamber Orchestra Maribor, Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor; was a guest of the Porin Quartet in the Lisinki Hall in Zagreb, played in various chamber ensembles with recognized Slovenian and Croatian musicians and was a guest at various international festivals and concert cycles such as: Carpe Artem – Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, Festival Lent Maribor, Le X giornate Brescia, Festival di Musica da camera citta di Lucca, Arsana Festival Ptuj, Liszt Festival - Auditorium Giorgio Gaber Milano, I Concerti del Sant Alessandro Bergamo, Epta Cycle - Pianissimo, Mladinski cikel - Union Hall Maribor, Abonma Grad Rače , Festival Odmev poletja, Kulturstadl Reimlingen – Kulturforum Nördlingen, Festival Maribor, Piano III- Vatroslav Lisinski Zagreb, Zeničko prolječe -Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, Winners Super Green al Sartorio – Associazione Chamber Music Trieste, Associazione Storica Societa Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso ed istruzione di Pordenone, Picooolo Opera Festival,… In 2024, she had debut tour in China and performed solo and with croatian trumpet player Vjeran Ježek in concert halls such as : Yingkou cultural and Art Center, Development Area Grand Theater Dalian, Hebei Arts Center Shijiazhuang, Gulangyu Concert Hall and released her first solo CD, which includes all of Chopin's Etudes from op.25 and Schumann's Kreisleriana. In 2017, the CD Carpe artem and the digital album: Zapisi/Notes were released, where Tjaša Šulc Dejanović and the string quartet (Haas, Batalović, Trnjar Pravdič, Sajko) made an archival recording of the Piano Quintet in E major, op. 15 by composer E. W. Korngold. The CD was created in collaboration with the London-based Hedone Records, and received excellent reviews and a bronze award from the Global Music Awards in the classical music category. She is working as a piano professor at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor. Her students have won numerous awards at national and international competitions. Tjaša Šulc Dejanović has been a guest professor at various seminars in Slovenia, China, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and is a regular member of the jury at the international competition "Mladi Padovec" in Novi Marof, Croatia.
